Be warned, this contains major spoilers for the final episode of One Piece: Into the Grand Line! The live-action One Piece series has returned to Netflix with Season 2, and the finale reveals the main villain we can expect in Season 3. With this season, Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew officially enter the Grand Line, immediately encountering strange new places and people. They’ve been constantly challenged since falling under the control of Baroque Works, with no time to rest.
In One Piece: Into the Grand Line, Joe Manganiello makes his debut as Sir Crocodile, the enigmatic leader of Baroque Works. While his role is initially limited in the second season, the finale finally showcases his complete appearance and identity. In the last episode of One Piece: Into the Grand Line, Miss All Sunday (Lera Abova) tells Mr. 0 that Wapol was defeated on Drum Island. This is when it’s revealed that Mr. 0 is actually Sir Crocodile, a dangerous pirate whose bounty was previously removed by the World Government. Crocodile also reveals Miss All Sunday’s true name is Nico Robin and dismisses Wapol’s defeat, stating he already controls Wapol’s wealth. This sets the stage for future events.
As a huge One Piece fan, I’m getting so excited about where things are going! Crocodile letting slip that this treasure is part of his plan to reach Alabasta – and ultimately the One Piece – is a massive reveal. And with Vivi and the Straw Hats now on their way to help end the civil war, the third season of the live-action series is shaping up to be absolutely packed with action. I’m especially thrilled because it sounds like Manganiello, who plays Crocodile, will have a much bigger role to play moving forward – can’t wait to see more of him!
What’s Happening in Netflix’s One Piece Season 3?

Now that season two is available on Netflix, filming for season three of the live-action One Piece series has begun. The show’s creator, Eiichiro Oda, has stated that season three will cover the entirety of the Alabasta storyline. While this arc is quite lengthy, the live-action adaptation tends to move at a faster pace than the original manga and anime, so it’s hard to say exactly how many episodes it will take.
The live-action series has a lot of source material to work with, thanks to the decades of One Piece manga and anime already available. Eiichiro Oda, the creator, has told the cast where he envisions the series concluding, and it might happen sooner than fans anticipate. Stay tuned to see how it all unfolds!
