Season 2 of Netflix’s live-action series, One Piece, arrives in just one month! Along with the announcement, we’ve gotten our first glimpse of Dr. Kureha in the new season. Titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, the new episodes will deliver on the promise of the title, showing Luffy and the Straw Hat crew entering the Grand Line – a major development teased at the end of Season 1. This means fans can expect to see many more characters from Eiichiro Oda’s original manga come to life in live-action.
Netflix will release the new One Piece series, Into the Grand Line, in March. The show will cover the beginning of Luffy’s adventures in the Grand Line, including his encounters with Dr. Kureha, who will be voiced by Katey Sagal (known for Futurama, Sons of Anarchy, and Married…With Children). A first look at Sagal as Dr. Kureha has just been released and can be viewed below.
Who Is Dr. Kureha in One Piece?

Dr. Kureha will appear in the live-action series One Piece: Into the Grand Line, specifically during the adaptation of the Drum Island story arc. As the island’s only doctor, she’s crucial to the story of Tony Tony Chopper. Fans have been eagerly anticipating her appearance since the show’s second season was announced, and now we’re finally getting a first look before the season premieres next month.
Fans were excited about the possibility of Jamie Lee Curtis appearing in the live-action One Piece series on Netflix, as she’d expressed interest, but it didn’t pan out. Instead, Christina Sagal was cast, and she’s proving to be a fantastic choice. It’s a strong casting decision for a character who won’t have a large role beyond this season, which is a nice surprise for viewers.
When Does One Piece Season 2 Come Out on Netflix?

Sagal expressed her excitement about joining the new season of the show, saying she’d been keeping it a secret for months. She thanked the passionate fans of One Piece for their incredible support and announced she was traveling to Cape Town, promising she wouldn’t disappoint. Viewers won’t have to wait much longer to see her in action!
Netflix will release the first season of its live-action One Piece adaptation, titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, on March 10th. The eight-episode season continues the story and covers the Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island arcs from the original manga by Eiichiro Oda. Viewers can expect to see new characters like Dr. Kureha, and more exciting adventures to come.
