It’s now been five long months since the final episode of “Solo Leveling” Season 2 aired, leaving fans eagerly anticipating Season 3, but alas, the producers have yet to make an official announcement. In the meantime, Netflix has come up with a clever strategy to keep fans engaged and buzzing – an upcoming live-action adaptation of “Solo Leveling”. To add to the excitement, there’s recent news that the live-action series has just cast its female lead, Cha Hae-in, who seems perfectly suited for the role.
As an onlooker, it’s been quite a ride since whispers about “Solo Leveling” live-action adaptation started back in January. Fast forward to July, and Netflix officially confirmed the project, bringing a sense of excitement that’s only grown stronger. Recently, they announced that Han So-Hee, known for her roles in “Nevertheless” and “Gyeongseong Creature,” has been cast as Cha Hae-in, one of South Korea’s elite S-rank hunters in “Solo Leveling.” Not only is she an ideal fit for the role, but also Jinwoo’s primary love interest. The news has left me eagerly anticipating this adaptation even more.
Netflix Casts Han So-hee as Cha Ha-in in Solo Leveling’s Live-Action
In terms of Netflix’s live-action adaptations, they run the gamut from excellent ones such as One Piece to contentious ones like BET, including the latest Kakegurui-inspired series. However, the upcoming Solo Leveling live-action seems quite promising, with its casting choices for both Jinwoo and Hae-in on point. Similar to Jinwoo’s casting, Han So-hee appears to be an ideal fit for the role of Hae-in due to her physical similarity.
Indeed, the combination of Byeon Woo-seok’s captivating charm and So-hee’s reputation as one of Korea’s most stunning actresses creates an almost ideal duo. Moreover, So-hee boasts a remarkable acting career, having appeared in numerous popular K-dramas including “Nevertheless,” “Gyeongseong Creature,” “100 Days My Prince,” “The World of the Married,” and many others. These roles serve as proof of her exceptional talent. As for the remaining main characters like Yoo Jinho, Lee Joo-hee, along with popular hunters such as Baek Yoonho, Choi Jong-in, and Woo Jinchul, it remains to be seen who Netflix will choose to play them. However, it appears that the live action adaptation of “Solo Leveling” is currently in good hands.
Solo Leveling’s anime can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
