Netflix has been increasingly focused on offering Asian entertainment, making it a great platform for anime fans. You can find almost all popular anime series there, including classics like *One Piece*, *Naruto*, and *Bleach*, as well as newer hits like *Demon Slayer* and *Jujutsu Kaisen*. Recently, Netflix added *Sakamoto Days*, a popular action-comedy series, as an exclusive offering.

Fans excited for more will be pleased to know a live-action movie is coming next year during Golden Week. Viz Media announced some exciting new releases coming in the summer of 2026 via their X (formerly Twitter) account. Among the highlights is a sequel manga for the popular live-action Netflix adaptation, *Alice in Borderland*. They also surprised fans with a new installment of Yuto Suzuki’s *Sakamoto Days*. This new story, titled *Sakamoto Days: Assassin’s Method*, will be released as a novel and features original stories about assassins within the *Sakamoto Days* universe. Yuto Suzuki, the creator of the series, came up with the concept, and Renka Misaki is writing the novel. As a bonus, the novel will include a full-color, double-sided poster.
It’s great news for fans of *Sakamoto Days*, especially since the manga is nearing its end – it might even finish before next summer. This new installment could offer more stories after the manga concludes. While a novel might seem unusual for an action-comedy series like this, it actually fits well with the manga’s blend of realistic action and over-the-top humor. For those who enjoyed the *Sakamoto Days* anime on Netflix, there’s a lot to look forward to next year, even as the manga and anime conclude.
