Finding an affordable game that players actually love can be tough. New, top-tier games often cost $70 to $80, and even more if you get special editions or pre-order bonuses. While those options are great for some, not everyone wants to spend that much on a single game. Luckily, a new game released in October 2025 offers a budget-friendly alternative with overwhelmingly positive reviews.
Okay, so I recently picked up Dispatch by AdHoc Studio, and seriously, this game is amazing. It’s only thirty bucks, and it’s getting incredible reviews on both Steam and PlayStation 5. It came out on October 22nd, 2025, and people are loving it. What’s really cool is it’s not your typical action game – it’s a workplace comedy! You play as someone dispatching heroes around the city, but you also have to deal with all the office drama, build relationships, and even try to become a hero yourself. Your choices actually matter, which is awesome. I wasn’t expecting to get so hooked on a game like this!
Dispatch Easily Earned Its High Rating

AdHoc Studio launched in 2018, and their debut release, Dispatch, has been a huge success for the new company. They’re already working on The Wolf Among Us 2, another exciting episodic adventure game. The team behind AdHoc previously worked at Telltale Games, known for creating leading titles in this style, and Dispatch builds upon that experience. Currently, the first six episodes are available and are definitely worth playing.
Dispatch is now available on Steam and PlayStation 5! Take charge of a team of former villains in this funny workplace comedy where your decisions have real consequences.

ComicBook gave the first two episodes of the game a very high score of 4.5 out of 5. Reviewers and players alike have praised its stunning animation and compelling story, which keeps people eager for the next installment. Many players enjoy the game’s unique and replayable nature, often going back to try different dialogue options and see how the story changes. It’s clear why the game has become so popular – it really takes the genre to the next level.
The game Dispatch quickly became a success, selling a million copies in just ten days, and continues to be popular. It’s a standout episodic adventure game that demonstrates the genre still has potential for innovation. It’s likely that Telltale Games, now back in operation, will use what they learned from Dispatch in their future projects. With AdHoc Studio already planning a sequel to The Wolf Among Us, Dispatch‘s success suggests we can expect even more great games to come.
