I just stumbled across this new game on the PlayStation Store, and honestly, I’m blown away! It came out this week and is already getting some of the best reviews of any PS5 game this year. The best part? It’s only $10.99! That price makes it super accessible, and I think that’s a big reason why so many people are loving it. If you’re into puzzle platformers like I am, you absolutely need to check this one out.
The new PS5 game, Ooo, developed by NamaTakahashi, Tiny Cactus Studio, and Tsuyomi, is receiving excellent reviews. It boasts a 4.78 out of 5-star rating, which translates to 96 out of 100. Players originally enjoyed the game on PC last year through Steam, and it’s now earning similar praise on PlayStation. With a 99% approval rating based on over 1,600 user reviews, it’s nearly perfect. Since there are no scores from Metacritic, these user reviews are the best indication of the game’s quality. Despite flying somewhat under the radar, the overwhelmingly positive feedback suggests Ooo is well worth playing.
One of the Best Puzzle Platformers on PS5
You control a caterpillar that’s also a bomb in this game, and your goal is to blast your way through a strange world – the inside of a bird! It’s a simple game, designed to be completed in just a couple of hours, which makes it very affordable.
One player described this puzzle-platformer, which takes place inside a bird, as one of the best games they played last year. They praised its lovely music and graphics, the clever core gameplay involving bombs, and the well-designed levels, saying everything about the game, titled Ooo, was enjoyable.
If you’re playing on a PS5 Pro, this new game doesn’t take advantage of the console’s extra power. However, since the game isn’t very demanding to begin with, it’s hard to say what improvements the PS5 Pro could even offer.
