Intriguingly, Ballard is a spin-off from the television show Bosch, which was broadcast from 2014 to 2021. Bosch: Legacy, another series related to Bosch, ran from 2022 to 2025 and, just like Ballard, was produced by Amazon.
In short, Bosch received scores of 94 (from critics) and 97 (from audiences) on Rotten Tomatoes, while Bosch: Legacy has a score of 100 (from audiences) and 86 (from critics). Given these numbers, it’s hardly unexpected that Ballard is garnering positive reviews and striking a chord with viewers.
