Fans are especially excited for the first trailer, hoping to get a good look at Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. The new movie is expected to bring back many familiar actors from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Russo brothers announced the one-year countdown to the release of Avengers: Doomsday with a short video on Instagram, simply captioning it, “1 year…”
The video begins with a close-up of the film’s clapperboard. It shows the film’s title and credits the directors, the Russo brothers, and cinematographer Newton Thomas Sigel. The clapperboard also indicates this is roll #A12, scene A5, take 2.
The video then shows a countdown timer starting at twelve months. It quickly drops to eleven months, twenty-nine days, twenty-three hours, fifty-nine minutes, and fifty-nine seconds.
So, the Russos just posted something new after sharing a really mysterious black and white picture on Instagram a few days ago. They didn’t say what it meant, and honestly, everyone’s been buzzing with theories ever since!
Fans are eagerly awaiting the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. While it was originally thought the trailer would be shown before screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash, it’s now reported that four different trailers will be released over four weeks, each appearing before the film in a new week.
I’m so excited for the next Avengers movie, ‘Doomsday’! It’s hitting theaters on December 18, 2026. The Russo Brothers, who did such a great job with previous Marvel films, are directing, and the script is by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely.
