Over the years, we’ve seen many different versions of Batman in movies and on television, and while everyone has their preferred take, Batman: The Animated Series is almost universally praised. It’s become the standard by which all other Batman adaptations are judged. Now, a new video game set in that same beloved animated world has been announced, and it’s exciting news for DC fans.
The new game, Enemies of Gotham City, is based on the world of Batman: The Animated Series. Created by Upper Deck, the game lets 2 to 5 players take on the roles of 12 of Batman’s most notorious villains. Players compete to gain control of Gotham by causing chaos, claiming territory, and profiting from their schemes—all while dodging Batman and his crime-fighting partners.
Batman Enemies of Gotham City is a DC Villain Fan’s Dream

Upper Deck recently showed off a preview of their new board game, Arkham Dice Tower, and a Joker-themed element. We got a hands-on look at a prototype at Gen Con, and it’s fantastic news for DC villain fans! The game includes 12 villains, each with a unique power and weapon to help them take control of Gotham. For example, The Mad Hatter can displace opponents and replace their forces, while Two-Face’s coin flip introduces both helpful and harmful surprises.
Each villain offers a unique way to play. Poison Ivy lets you build greenhouses that boost your districts, and Mr. Freeze can turn areas icy, preventing fire-based attacks. Clayface can mimic other villains’ signature weapons, while Penguin and Bane concentrate on building wealth. Finally, the Joker can dispatch his henchmen to Arkham Asylum from any district.
The game features a fantastic lineup of villains, including iconic characters like The Mad Hatter, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Bane, The Penguin, Clayface, Red Claw, Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, Scarecrow, The Joker, and Ra’s al Ghul. The artwork is beautifully done – it looks like it’s straight from the show, but it’s actually original art created to fit the show’s style.

We’re really excited to try out the game and find out when it will be released. If you love Batman: The Animated Series, you definitely won’t want to miss this!
