A free-to-play cyberpunk game is now available on Steam. It’s currently unknown whether the game works well with the Steam Deck, but Steam Deck owners can try it out without spending any money to see for themselves.
I just checked out this new free game on PC called Beat of Rebellion, and it’s really cool! It’s an isometric hack-and-slash, but you play it to the beat of the music – super unique. It’s made by a new developer called CyberRacoons, and honestly, based on the Steam reviews, it’s a fantastic first game for them. People are saying it’s way better than a lot of other free titles out there, and I’d have to agree!
“A Very Sweet and Short Game”
Being a completely free game, it’s not as refined or extensive as many others. It’s certainly smaller in scale compared to the major releases on Steam. Despite this, players are generally enjoying it, as evidenced by its impressive 86% approval rating and “Very Positive” score – the second-highest rating possible on the platform.
I recently played this game, and honestly, it’s just really charming and doesn’t overstay its welcome. The characters look fantastic, and the levels are smartly put together – I found myself really enjoying exploring. I especially loved the look and feel of the city! The story isn’t super complicated, but it works perfectly. Plus, the gameplay is smooth and fun, and the music is incredible, especially when you get into a fight – it really pumps you up!
If the trailer or what other players are saying has caught your attention, and you’re curious about this free PC game, here’s the story. You play as a Pulsedrifter, a young rebel trying to live in a dark, oppressive city called New Nexus. In New Nexus, art is forbidden and artists are hunted. But as a Pulsedrifter, music is your strength, and rhythm is your key to fighting back.
If you’re not a fan of rhythm or isometric action games, this new free game probably won’t appeal to you. However, if you enjoy those genres, it’s definitely worth a try – you have nothing to lose by checking it out.
