The highly anticipated anime movie “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is set to release in Japanese theaters soon, and it has unveiled the initial glimpse of Muzan Kibutsuji’s final Upper Ranks which will be featured prominently in action. The “Demon Slayer” series is on the verge of launching a grand new trilogy of movies based on the Infinity Castle arc from Koyoharu Gotoge’s original manga. Although fans outside Japan have to hold on a bit longer, Japanese viewers will get an early look at the next significant chapter in the anime’s narrative.
I’m absolutely thrilled about the impending release of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” in Japan! The build-up for this movie has been incredible, with a steady stream of character posters being unveiled in the run-up to its premiere. It seems there were a couple more posters hidden from the online world, but thanks to @setsuka_snow33 on X, we’ve now got a sneak peek at these posters! They feature the last demon that had been kept under wraps in the trailer and earlier promotional materials. Proceed with caution, though, as there’s a significant spoiler ahead if you look below.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Movie Adds to Muzan’s Line Up
In “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle,” the main characters Tanjiro Kamado and surviving Demon Slayers will engage in their final battles against Muzan Kibutsuji’s demonic troops within the castle itself. Although official character posters haven’t been published online yet, they are now on display in Japan. They unveil the last member of the Upper Ranks who will appear in the upcoming film. Alongside fresh glimpses of Muzan, Kokushibo, Doma, and Akaza, we also meet Kaigaku, the new Upper Rank Six.
In the upcoming movie, a character named Kaigaku is introduced as a new member of the Upper Ranks, following the defeat of Gyutaro during the Entertainment District Arc. The remaining Upper Ranks will engage in significant battles with key characters in these final encounters. It’s worth noting that Kaigaku plays a role in Zenitsu Agatsuma’s storyline for the upcoming trilogy. Intriguingly, Zenitsu seems to have a strong connection with Kaigaku as they are locked in an intense stare-down in the latest trailer. We’ll soon discover the reason behind this intrigue ourselves.
When Does Demon Slayer’s New Movie Come Out in the U.S?
Starting September 12th, the movie ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle’ will hit theaters in both the United States and Canada. The specific release dates for the subsequent films in the trilogy are still undecided at this point, but they’ll be available in English dubbed versions as well as Japanese audio with English subtitles. Additionally, these versions may also be shown in premium and IMAX formats. With a runtime of approximately two hours and 35 minutes, it plans to bring a lot to the table.
For those residing outside of Japan, the highly anticipated film “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” is set to reveal more of its new content at San Diego Comic-Con 2025. The movie will dominate Hall H on Saturday, July 25th and will showcase exclusive footage that will make its international debut for the first time with director Haruo Sotozaki, cinematographer Yuichi Terao, voice actors Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado), Aleks Le (Zenitsu Agatsuma), and theme song performer LiSA present.
