I’m so excited! Sony just announced that Ghost of Yotei is finally getting a New Game Plus mode! Even better, it’s coming with a free update that drops next week on November 24th. I can’t wait to jump back in!
So, I just saw on the PlayStation blog that once you finish the game, you’ll finally be able to jump into New Game Plus! It’s awesome that we can keep playing with our progress after beating the story.
I’m so excited for the New Game Plus mode! It’s going to have a bunch of different difficulty settings, plus some new trophies to earn. And the best part? Everything I unlocked in my first playthrough – all my weapons, armor, and abilities – will carry over, so I don’t have to start from scratch!

The update will also introduce a new currency called Ghost Flowers, giving players more to look forward to.
Sony says you’ll be able to use this new in-game currency with a new vendor to get more than 30 new cosmetic items, 10 charms, and a variety of new armor and weapon colors.
This gives players a bunch of new options to further customize Atsu in their playthroughs.
Players will enjoy several new features! Now you can replay challenges you’ve already finished, and a new stats screen has been added to track your progress.
They’re adding a bunch of cool stuff in the next update! I’m really excited about the new difficulty settings – finally, I can tailor the challenge to my skill level. Plus, being able to remap the directional buttons is a game-changer for me, and I love that they’re improving Photo Mode so I can take even better screenshots!
The announcement ends with Sony teasing the arrival of Ghost of Yotei Legends in 2026.
