New Gen V Trailer Confirms Which The Boys Stars Will Drop By the Spinoff

Everyone is eagerly anticipating the fifth season of “The Boys” on Prime Video, marking the conclusion of the struggle between the main characters and Vought International, the corporation that manufactures Supes. Homelander isn’t going to make this resolution straightforward, as he grants his allies permission to apprehend anyone who poses a threat. It’s not only that he’s enlisting members from The Seven, but also revisiting his old alma mater, Godolkin University, to draft the university’s top talents into their ranks. Interestingly, Godolkin isn’t just any ordinary college; it serves as the backdrop for “The Boys”‘ live-action spinoff series, titled “Gen V“.

Once “The Boys” concludes its storyline, the second season of “Gen V” will be unveiled, advancing the franchise’s narrative further. By the end of Season 1, Marie Moreau and her companions find themselves in a Super villain prison. Instead of disbanding upon their release, they face an alternative fate. The trailer for “Gen V” Season 2, premiered at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, hints at suspicious activities taking place at Godolkin, and a significant Super character requires Marie’s assistance to thwart the danger brewing there.

In the upcoming season 2 of Gen V, Starlight, one of the two members of The Boys not currently incarcerated, seems to hold a significant position. She assigns Marie to investigate a clandestine research project called Project Odessa. Vought is determined to keep secrets about this project hidden, which is why both The Deep and Black Noir are involved. By the end of The Boys season 4, The Deep and Black Noir had aligned themselves with Homelander, and this alliance is expected to persist as we move into Gen V’s second installment.

Additionally, there will be ample non-cast related drama unfolding within Godolkin’s Supe named Polarity, who is on a quest for answers regarding his late son Andre, who unfortunately won’t reappear in Season 2. The part of Andre was played by Chance Perdomo, but tragically he passed away in the year 2024, causing the show to find an alternative for his character.

It’s almost certain that Andre’s friends will go to great lengths to retaliate for whatever Vought did to him, possibly discovering new abilities during their journey. The most recent Gen V trailer hints that Marie could receive a significant power increase in the near future, which might make her powerful enough to significantly impact the struggle against Homelander.

Gen V Could Be Setting the Stage for Homelander’s Defeat

The newly appointed dean of Godolkin perceives significant talent in Marie and aims to challenge her rigorously to gauge her resilience. This includes arranging for her to spar with her peers inside a ring. Yet, it’s possible he’s misguided, as even he acknowledges that Marie could surpass Homelander in power. Consequently, Starlight may have hidden intentions for contacting her, given that she, once a member of The Seven, will require all the assistance she can muster while attempting to save her comrades.

It’s plausible that Marie could play a significant role in both ‘Gen V’ and ‘The Boys’, given their history of crossovers. In fact, her absence during a potential confrontation with Homelander would seem unusual, as he poses a threat not just to The Boys, but to the world as a whole.
