New KPop Demon Hunters Content Finally Hits Netflix

Great news for fans of KPop Demon Hunters! The long wait for new content is over, though it’s not a huge amount. Remember that bonus content tile that briefly appeared on Netflix last year and then disappeared? It’s back now, and while it’s a bit limited, it’s still exciting for viewers.

This new collection is a celebration of the hugely popular movie, created as a thank you to its fans. It’s about 10 minutes long and includes four short segments. These feature the cast reacting to fan videos, showcase amazing cosplays inspired by the film, highlight families enjoying the movie together through dances and sing-alongs, and take a deep dive into the success of the hit song, “Golden.”

What’s Next for Kpop Demon Hunters?

The good news is a sequel is planned! However, fans will likely have to wait until at least 2029 to see it, due to Sony’s current workload and the time-consuming nature of the animation. Sony executives are even suggesting it could be released after 2029, potentially meaning a five-year gap between films. According to Sony Animation co-President Kristine Belson, the biggest hurdle—and the one with the most potential payoff—is creating a worthy sequel. Animated movies take years to produce, and Netflix has recently completed agreements with the directors and Sony Corp., who originally created KPop Demon Hunters through their own animation studio.

Even though we have a while to wait for more, it looks like fans will continue to enjoy extra content and performances from the cast – maybe even more appearances like the Macy’s Day Parade! Plus, KPop Demon Hunters is still incredibly popular on Netflix, staying in the Top 10 for an amazing 37 weeks – plenty of reason to rewatch it again and again. This new bonus content, though brief, is a fun reminder of what makes the movie – and its growing impact – so beloved.
