Since its release last year, KPop Demon Hunters has been a huge success for Netflix and Sony, attracting millions of viewers, performing well in theaters, and winning numerous awards. Now, the franchise is expanding into toys and other media, and we’re getting a first glimpse of a new KPop Demon Hunters video game scheduled to launch later this year.
Ravensburger announced earlier this year they were creating puzzles and other items based on KPop Demon Hunters, and now they’ve revealed their first game: Labyrinth: KPop Demon Hunters. Labyrinth is a popular family game where players search for treasure on a constantly changing game board. Now, characters Rumi, Mira, and Zoey from KPop Demon Hunters are featured in a special edition of the game! It’s expected to be available in stores in September, so fans won’t have to wait long to play.
What Will A KPop Demon Hunters Labyrinth Look Like?
Okay, so Labyrinth is this really cool game where you’re basically trying to grab treasure in a maze that’s constantly shifting around. It’s got a fantasy vibe, and the whole point is to collect the items on your cards and escape before the other players do. Up to four of us can play at once, which makes it even more chaotic and fun!
What makes the game Labyrinth special is its constantly shifting maze. On each turn, players slide a tile, changing the available paths. The goal is to create an easier route for yourself while blocking your opponents.
How does the KPop Demon Hunters expansion change Labyrinth? It primarily swaps out the standard player tokens with characters from the film – Rumi, Zoey, Mira, and hopefully Derpy – who are all showcased on the box art. Visually, the game board will likely have a more modern look, with maze walls colored in black and vibrant neon blues and pinks, as depicted on the cover. The treasures within the maze will probably be significant items and charms from the movie, though the specifics are still unknown.
