Rumors started in early January about a new game in the popular Life is Strange series. A leak suggested that Don’t Nod and Square Enix were planning an announcement, but it wasn’t official until today. The official Life is Strange social media accounts have started hinting at a reveal. While details are still scarce, a new Life is Strange game is confirmed and more information will be released shortly.
Don’t Nod and Square Enix are teasing the next Life is Strange game with a mysterious message asking fans to distinguish fact from fiction. A short teaser was released, briefly showing what looks like Chloe, a character from previous games. The full reveal will happen on January 20th at 1 PM EST on the official Life is Strange YouTube channel.
The Next New Life is Strange Game Is Headed Our Way in 2026

The original Life is Strange launched in 2015 and quickly became a fan favorite, establishing itself as one of the best story-driven adventure games of the past ten years. Since then, Life is Strange has expanded into a complete series, with several spin-offs, prequels, and sequels bringing the total number of games to six. Soon, there will be even more, as a new Life is Strange game has been announced.
We don’t know many details yet, but the game is officially confirmed and expected to launch in 2026. This would follow the typical two-year release schedule seen with previous Life is Strange games, following Life is Strange: Double Exposure, which released in 2024. We’ll learn more when it’s officially revealed on January 20th.

Okay, so we don’t have official news yet, but things are starting to look really interesting for the next Life is Strange game! I recently saw that it might be called Life is Strange: Reunion, which makes total sense considering the rumors. Apparently, the story could be about Max and Chloe reconnecting, and I’m already getting emotional just thinking about it! The PEGI rating listing has been taken down now, but it hinted at a story where Max and Chloe are in college and trying to stop some big disaster. Honestly, if that’s what’s coming, I’m so ready!
If you enjoyed Double Exposure, you probably already suspected another Life is Strange game was on the way! The series has been popular, and the last game left things open for a sequel. We’ll finally get the first official details about the new game on January 20th at 1 PM EST. You can set a reminder on YouTube to be notified when the reveal trailer drops so you don’t miss the live announcement.
