Join Frodo and the Fellowship on their dangerous quest with the newest Funko Pop figures! Popular characters like Eomer and Boromir are included, with Boromir clutching the white Tree of Gondor banner and his sword. Eomer looks fantastic, and even as a Funko Pop, you can still recognize Karl Urban’s likeness.
Beyond the main heroes, this wave of figures includes some really interesting deep cuts. We’ve got Faramir, Eomer’s brother, and a surprisingly detailed Guritz – the Orc captain who, interestingly, was created specifically for Peter Jackson’s films and doesn’t appear in Tolkien’s original books. And of course, Pippin is here, looking battle-ready! If you’re a Lord of the Rings collector like me, you’ll want to check these out. You can find them at Entertainment Earth or Funko right now, and I’ll add direct links to Amazon as soon as they’re available.

The Lord of the Rings MMORPG Has Been Cancelled

Unfortunately, the Lord of the Rings MMORPG that began development in early 2023 has been cancelled. This is particularly upsetting for fans, as there hasn’t been a large-scale online role-playing game based on the series since 2007. Given the success and positive reception of other Lord of the Rings games, the news is a significant blow. Comicbook reports the cancellation stems from recent layoffs at Amazon, the publisher through its Amazon Games division. While it’s a disappointment, there’s still a possibility of another Lord of the Rings game being developed in the future.
