This comes after the announcement of Spider-Punk, who will lead a spin-off movie based on “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” according to insider Daniel Richtman. Furthermore, there are whispers about other animated films centered around Spider-Woman and Venom also being in development. At this point, specifics about these projects, such as whether they’ll adopt the animation style of the “Spider-Verse” films or forge their own visual identity, remain undisclosed.

Of course, Venom starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock led a live-action film trilogy, and even though these films weren’t critically acclaimed, they proved financially lucrative, raking in a collective $1.8 billion worldwide. Regrettably, the franchise experienced decreasing profits with each new release; last year’s Venom: The Last Dance was the least profitable, earning approximately $478.9 million globally.

Consequently, Sony ceased work on Spider-Man spin-offs and started concentrating on Spider-Man: A New Dawn and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse instead.
