The competition between Xbox and PlayStation consoles appears to be winding down, with Xbox releasing fewer games specifically for its consoles and PlayStation doing the opposite. Sony recently announced it will release even fewer of its major games on PC, focusing heavily on PlayStation exclusives. This means PlayStation 5 owners can expect a growing number of games only available on their console. One exciting indie game has already confirmed it will launch on both PC and PS5 in 2026, and it will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive.
Beyond major releases like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the PS5 has also seen a number of excellent indie games. Many of these indie titles also become available on PC, and that’s true for the upcoming game Fishbowl. This heartwarming adventure explores difficult themes like grief and loneliness with a beautiful story and charming pixel art. Fishbowl will be released on April 2nd for both PC (via Steam) and PS5, and it has the potential to be a standout hidden gem on the console.
Fishbowl Brings an Emotional Slice-of-Life Adventure to PS5 and PC

Fishbowl, a visual novel adventure game about growing up, dealing with loneliness, building friendships, and coping with loss, is being developed by imissmyfriends.studio and published by Wholesome Game Presents. It’s gained a lot of attention since its announcement, appearing in several indie game events and winning awards. A demo released in May and updated for Steam Next Fest 2026 has been very well-received on Steam. Now, the full game finally has a release date!
Fishbowl is a story-driven game similar to Coffee Talk. It follows Alo, a young woman navigating a new job and dealing with the recent loss of her grandmother. Your choices will shape Alo’s story, leading to a heartfelt and branching narrative. Plus, the game includes mini-games for players who enjoy a bit more interaction. You can get a first look at Fishbowl in the new trailer released for its PS5 launch.
The trailer for Fishbowl shows a unique and slightly surreal world, but at its heart, it’s a relatable story about a person navigating everyday life. Plus, the pixel art is beautifully done! You can experience the full game on April 2nd, but if you pre-order now on the PlayStation store, you can start playing on March 30th – a few days early! Pre-ordering also gets you a 10% discount, bringing the price down to $8.99.
The game Fishbowl will be available on PC through Steam and PlayStation 5 starting April 2nd. It’s priced at $9.99, making it a budget-friendly option for PS5 gamers.
