A new Nintendo Switch game is coming out in November, but it won’t be specifically made for the rumored Switch 2. While the game isn’t being built for the new console, Switch owners will be able to play it on their existing Switch consoles through backward compatibility. It might seem strange to release the game on the older Switch instead of the newer one, but this is becoming more common, particularly when a game doesn’t require the extra power of the upgraded hardware.
Armonica’s new game, *Detective Instinct: Farewell, My Beloved*, is coming to the Nintendo eShop on November 26th. It will be a Nintendo exclusive at launch, meaning it won’t be available on any other consoles besides Steam.
About the Game:
As you might have seen in the trailer, *Detective Instinct: Farewell, My Beloved* is designed like classic Japanese adventure games, with some storytelling elements similar to visual novels. If you’re not a fan of either of those styles, this game probably isn’t for you.
The game centers around two mysterious events: a man’s murder in a hotel and a woman disappearing while traveling by train. You play as the sole passenger who recalls the woman, and you’ll unravel the secrets surrounding both cases.
This is the first game from this developer, so it’s hard to say how good it will be. It has the potential to be a fantastic indie adventure, but it might not stand out. What’s exciting about it now is that it’s one of the final Nintendo Switch exclusives planned for 2025, alongside highly anticipated releases like the remasters of *Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2* and *Metroid Prime 4: Beyond*, all coming to the eShop soon.
The price of *Detective Instinct: Farewell, My Beloved* when it launches on the Nintendo eShop in about two months is still unknown. Considering how large and ambitious the game seems to be, it will likely cost somewhere between $5 and $25. Let us know your thoughts in the comments, or join the discussion on the ComicBook Forum! Are you planning to play this game on Nintendo Switch or PC when it comes out later this year?
