Sony has announced a new PlayStation Plus game for December 2025, with an extra perk! While the full list of free games hasn’t been released yet, we know Red Dead Redemption and SoulCalibur 3 are coming to the Game Catalog for Extra and Premium members. Now, a third game has been added, promising a great end to 2025 for PS Plus subscribers.
Devolver Digital’s Skate Story, a unique skateboarding game with a surreal Underworld setting and a goal of reaching the moon, is coming to PlayStation 5 and PS Plus in December. While different from traditional skateboarding games like Skate and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Skate Story has generated a lot of excitement since it was first shown earlier this year, making its inclusion on PS Plus a fantastic addition for subscribers.

A special bonus for players of Skate Story is that it’s coming to PS Plus sooner than usual! Sony typically adds new games to the PS Plus Game Catalog on the third Tuesday of each month, which would be December 16th. However, Skate Story will be available a week earlier, on December 8th – the same day it releases worldwide. If you’re looking for a new game for your PS5, you won’t have to wait long to play!
Okay, so Sony hasn’t announced the free PS Plus games for December yet, but it should be any day now! They’re saying we’ll be able to download them starting December 2nd. Right now, I can still grab Stray, WRC 24, and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, but those are leaving the service in about a week, so I need to make sure I download them before they’re gone!
