A recent rumor suggests PlayStation will likely hold its first State of Play presentation in early 2026. PlayStation usually hosts around three of these showcases annually – one in the early part of the year, another in early summer, and a third in early fall. While plans could change, it appears they intend to stick to this schedule to kick off the year.
According to video game insider Nate the Hate, PlayStation’s first State of Play presentation in 2026 is expected to happen in February. This means we won’t see a State of Play this week to finish up January. Nate didn’t share any specific details about which games will be featured, but we might learn more in the coming days or weeks.
What Should We Expect in This State of Play?

Looking at PlayStation’s games planned for 2026, we can predict what might be featured in the next State of Play presentation. We’ll likely see more of Saros, Housemarque’s upcoming game, as it’s scheduled to release in April. Marvel’s Wolverine, expected this fall, could also get a release date reveal, and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, launching this year, might finally get a confirmed launch date during the event as well.
PlayStation might showcase upcoming third-party games like Resident Evil Requiem, Phantom Blade Zero, Pragmata, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword during their next State of Play presentation. Expect some unexpected announcements as well – it’s hard to know exactly what they’ll reveal! We’ll share official updates from PlayStation as soon as they’re available.
