New Pokemon Go Event Adds Rare Shiny Pokemon to Wild Spawns & Egg Hatches for a Limited Time

The new season, Forever Forward, has begun in Pokémon Go! Along with a return to the classic loading screen art from 2016, players can look forward to several events. The next event is a Summer Quest research featuring Spark, the leader of Team Instinct. From June 2nd at 10 AM to June 8th at 8 PM local time, trainers can complete Spark’s Caretaking Quest for a chance to catch some rare Shiny Pokémon.

The Spark’s Caretaking Quest in Pokemon Go centers around discovering new Pokemon by catching Wild Pokemon and hatching Eggs. The event offers a special GO Pass with rewards, updates the Pokemon appearing in the wild, and changes the Pokemon available in 7KM Eggs. You’ll have a better chance of finding rare Pokemon during this time, and even better, all of the event Pokemon can be found in their shiny forms, making it a great opportunity for dedicated shiny hunters!

New Wild Encounter Spawns During Pokemon Go Spark’s Caretaking Quest Event

Having trouble finding exciting Pokémon in Pokémon Go? This event should help! From June 2nd to June 8th, Spark’s Caretaking Quest will introduce new Pokémon to the wild. You’ll have a better chance of encountering these featured Pokémon during the event:

  • Alolan Raichu
  • Bulbsaur
  • Combee
  • Dratini
  • Drowsee
  • Houndour
  • Jolteon
  • Lileep

While Pokémon like Bulbasaur are frequently found, others are quite rare. Alolan Raichu and Lileep, for example, don’t appear in the wild very often, so this event is a fantastic opportunity to find their Shiny versions. Every Pokémon featured in this event has a chance of being Shiny in Pokémon Go.

Updated 7K Egg Pool for Spark’s Caretaking Quest

Besides changes to Pokemon appearing in the wild, this Pokemon Go event will also update the types of Pokemon you can hatch from 7KM eggs. These eggs are only available by opening gifts sent from friends, so be sure to save some space for them! From June 2nd to June 8th, look out for these Pokemon hatching from 7KM eggs:

  • Elekid
  • Galarian Corsola
  • Hisuian Qwilfish
  • Pichu
  • Shinx
  • Varoom

Pichu and Elekid are usually quite common, but this event also includes some rarer Pokémon. Galarian Corsola and Varoom are especially great finds, and they’ll be perfect for trying to find shiny Pokémon by hatching eggs during the event.

Throughout the week, all the Pokémon appearing in the wild, hatching from 7KM eggs, and available through Field Research will also be featured in special event encounters using the event Go Pass. Plus, you’ll have a chance to find Galarian Corsola and a special Elekid wearing a Spark-themed accessory this way. So, by spinning PokéStops, hatching eggs, and catching Pokémon in the wild, you’ll have a good opportunity to find some rare and shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Go this week.
