It appears that August is shaping up to be an exciting month for enthusiasts of the popular game, Pokemon Go. Recently, Niantic has revealed two global events: Dark Skies and Max Finale. As many had anticipated, these events will mark the entry of Eternatus, a Legendary Pokemon from Pokemon Sword and Shield, into the world of Pokemon Go. The Dark Skies event will commence on Monday, August 18th at 10 a.m., local time, while Max Finale will take place on Saturday, August 23rd and Sunday, August 24th.
At the onset of Dark Skies, all players above Level 13 will receive the new Go Pass: Max Finale. Alongside the regular Go Pass, there’ll be an exclusive Go Pass Deluxe available. The Deluxe version offers extra perks like additional Candy. Both versions offer an encounter with Eternatus and other Dynamax Pokemon, plus Candy, Max Particles, and more rewards. During this period, players can hold a larger quantity of Max Particles and find more Power Spots active.
After Dark Skies concludes, the Max Finale event will directly take place, featuring a return of the Pokémon Zacian (Crowned Sword) and Zamazenta (Crowned Shield). These creatures were missed by some players during Pokémon Go Fest. They’ll be returning to Raids to challenge Eternamax Eternatus, who will also make an appearance. Defeating Eternamax Eternatus offers a generous amount of Candy and XL Candy, which is beneficial since you’ll need more than usual to strengthen the Eternatus obtained through the Go Pass. Additionally, new Eternatus-themed avatar items will be introduced. The Max Finale event will also welcome back every Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Go thus far. During this period, the limit on Remote Raids will be removed, and players will receive extra Candy upon capturing Pokémon.
As a devoted Pokemon Go enthusiast, it seems the road towards the conclusion of Delightful Days season is becoming clearer. After Dark Skies and Max Finale, we’re gearing up for a Rookidee Community Day on August 30th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., local time. If I manage to evolve Corvisquire by September 6th at 10 p.m., I’ll get myself a Corviknight with the powerful Air Cutter attack! The following day, August 31st, there’s talk of a Raid Day, but specifics are still under wraps. As we inch closer to those dates, I’m hopeful for more exciting details to emerge.
In the main storyline of Pokemon Sword and Shield, Eternamax Eternatus marked the final significant fight. This battle gave the game an impressive finish, leaving fans eager to see how this will carry over to Pokemon Go. The upcoming season beyond Delightful Days remains a mystery, but it seems that the game might be moving away from Max Battles as they’ve reached their conclusion. Niantic is being secretive at the moment, but there’s speculation that we may soon see an emphasis on Paradox Pokemon in the near future.
