New Pokemon Rumor Seemingly Confirms Gen 10 Leaks, But Fans Aren’t Convinced

It’s the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon series, and fans are excited to see what’s coming next. While The Pokémon Company hasn’t officially announced much before the February 27th Pokémon Presents showcase, rumors are swirling about plans for 2026. Recent leaks suggested details about the next generation of Pokémon games – the 10th generation – and it now appears at least one part of that information is true. The new games are reportedly titled Pokémon Wind and Wave.

A leak from October 2025 revealed potential details about the next Pokémon game, including its name, location, and director. Now, a newly registered website seems to support some of those claims. The Pokémon Company appears to have registered the domain pokemon.com/windwave, which could indicate that the next generation of Pokémon games—previously leaked as Pokémon Wind and Pokémon Wave—are indeed the official titles.

Pokemon Wind and Wave Website URL Rumor Could Be a False Alarm

The buzz about a potential new Pokémon Wind and Waves website seems to have started on Reddit, with a user named @mMudkip noticing that the web address pokemon.com/windwave currently redirects to the main Pokémon site. This suggests the page might exist but hasn’t been launched yet, strengthening the theory that the next generation of Pokémon games – Generation 10 – could be called Pokémon Wind and Waves. However, there’s a slight complication to this story.

It’s correct that going to pokemon.com/windwave redirects you to the Pokemon homepage. But it appears that anything you type after a forward slash on the Pokemon website that starts with “win” does the same thing. I tested this with things like pokemon.com/win and pokemon.com/wings, and they both redirected as expected. This suggests the redirection to the homepage might just be a coincidence for /windwave, and not a specific feature.

We don’t know how long it’s been happening, but the shortened /win link working might be a new thing. Trying other links, like pokemon.com/waves, just leads to an error page, so not all links will redirect like that. While /win does redirect, it doesn’t actually prove that a Wind and Waves website exists. Many fans believe the /win link was probably used for a contest or giveaway in the past, and the redirect is just leftover from that old page. This suggests the Pokemon Wind and Waves webpage might just be a rumor. However, it does fit with previous leaks and could be another clue supporting the speculation.

Many Pokémon fans are anticipating the reveal of Generation 10 during the February Pokémon Presents presentation. It’s likely that The Pokémon Company is preparing a website for the new generation, as these sites usually launch immediately after an official announcement. With the presentation just over a month away, we might soon learn the official name of the next main series Pokémon games.
