Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday – and it’s a good one for PS5 fans like me! Sony just dropped a new firmware update for the PS5. I’m excited to see what improvements it brings!
A new update is now available for your console, bringing the system software to version 25.06-12.02.00. The patch is about 1.3 GB in size and can be downloaded and installed immediately.
So, what does it do? Here’s the official patch note, singular:
- We’ve made some security fixes to the system software.
It’s a fairly small update-at least when it comes to new features. The latest PS5 firmware mainly closes some security vulnerabilities.
This update isn’t quite as exciting as the last one, which added a power-saving feature for certain PS5 games. The previous update also allowed you to connect a DualSense controller to multiple devices.
Both are pretty nice additions, if not the most exciting in the world.
Anyway, there we are — another firmware update in the bank.
