Initially, whispers hinted at Fairy Characters gracing The Sims 4 for the first time, stirring doubts among enthusiasts about their optimism. However, Electronic Arts (EA) later affirmed that The Sims 4 will indeed be receiving Fairies with the forthcoming Enchanted by Nature expansion pack. Today, we were treated to a comprehensive gameplay trailer showcasing this upcoming addition. The trailer also revealed additional features such as the outdoor need restoration capability and the Apothecary Skill. Moreover, it provided a closer look at the Fairy Sims in greater detail.
The “Enchanted by Nature” gameplay trailer clocks in at nearly 7 minutes. This ample length gives Electronic Arts (EA) the opportunity to delve deeply into the new features coming with the upcoming expansion of “The Sims 4”, which is set to release on July 10th. The trailer offers an insightful look into several key aspects, helping players understand what to anticipate from the latest expansion. For a better grasp, feel free to watch the trailer yourself below:
The trailer for gameplay offers a comprehensive glimpse at various aspects, such as explaining how the concept of Fairies will be integrated in The Sims 4. We catch a peek at numerous forms of Fairy Sims, ranging from winged humans to more mystical, green-skinned versions. Besides Fairies, the trailer delves deep into new Aspirations and abilities. Yet for many players, it’s the introduction of the Occult feature that holds the most fascination. Let’s explore further.
What Fairies Will Be Like in The Sims 4
In a new twist, players will discover the method for making a unique Fairy Sim appear using a particular potion. Yet, this is just the beginning. The preview unveils the distinctive traits that set Fairy Sims apart from typical Sims.
The trailer for the gameplay demonstrates a sneak peek at the fresh Fairy features in Create-a-Sim. These encompass a variety of wing designs, each with customizable color options, including gradient painting. Moreover, an array of face paint, horns, and skin tone choices are now available to personalize your Fairy Sims even more. Furthermore, a glimpse into some magical outfits designed specifically for Fairies is also provided.
EA provides a sneak peek into the reasons behind the Fairy Sims, which deviate slightly from typical Sim requirements. In contrast to regular Sims, Fairy Sims possess unique emotional requirements that supersede needs such as hunger and bladder control. Instead, they have an exclusive “Emotional Force” requirement. To keep their Emotional Force replenished, Fairy Sims will need to participate in novel activities, such as consuming potions or drawing energy from other Sims.
Fairy-like Sims possess an additional feature: they can shrink down to a miniature size and develop unique talents. These Mystical Sims will share a Fairy Skills tree analogous to that of Vampires, which you can advance as their powers grow. As the Fairy abilities progress, these Sims will gain access to specialized skills using Fairy Sprinkles, including Bloom Plant, Speed Up Time for Another, and other captivating talents. There’s a selection of both virtuous and trickster-oriented abilities to tailor your story as desired.
