It’s been eleven years since the last StarCraft game, StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void, came out in 2015. The series has been quiet since then, but there’s good news for fans: a new game is on the way! We now have details about it, and it will be released in just two months, so you won’t have to wait long to return to the StarCraft universe.
Archon Studios and Blizzard Entertainment are releasing a new StarCraft Tabletop Miniatures Game, bringing the classic war between the Terrans, Zerg, and Protoss to life as a tabletop experience. Players will be able to include iconic characters like Jim Raynor, Kerrigan, and Artanis in their armies, and build impressive forces with detailed miniatures. The Two-Player Starter Set will be available in May, letting players begin battling in just two months.

All You Need Is The StarCraft Two Player Starter Set, But An Even Bigger Battle Awaits

The Two-Player Starter Set provides everything two players need to start playing, including the Terran and Zerg armies. The Terran forces include 12 Marines, 2 Marauders, 3 Medics, Jim Raynor, and a Defense Drone. The Zerg side features 24 Zerglings, 3 Roaches, a Queen, Kerrigan, and an Omega Worm. The set also comes with 15 terrain pieces, bases, cards, a ruler, dice, and tokens, and is available for $199.99.

For Protoss players, a dedicated Starter Set will be released at the same time. It contains 6 Zealots, 4 Adepts, 1 Adept Shade, 2 Sentries, 2 Force Fields, 1 Artanis figure, and 1 Pylon. Like the other Starter Set, it includes the bases, cards, ruler, and tokens you’ll need to play. The Protoss Starter Set will cost $109, and you can purchase both Starter Sets together in a bundle for $289.
Want to make your battles even bigger? You can with a couple of new additions! First, there’s an exclusive Zeratul miniature, available online and at tradeshows, that will boost your Protoss forces. You can also get the StarCraft Stalker set, which includes two Stalker miniatures to add to your Protoss army.

If you’re playing as the Zerg, the Hydralisk Set is a great addition, giving you four Hydralisks with their bases and cards. This will definitely strengthen your army. If you prefer to play as the Terran, the Goliath Set adds some serious firepower with one Goliath miniature capable of destroying both ground and air units.
The final optional add-on is the Lost Temple set, which allows players to build the famous Lost Temple map from StarCraft using 15 terrain pieces. It also comes with a cloth playmat to enhance the gaming experience and make it easier to move miniatures around the board. The Lost Temple is available for $49.00.
Whether you’re a dedicated StarCraft player or new to miniatures games, there’s something for everyone. Longtime fans can create their ideal forces, while newcomers can try a starter set and discover what makes this franchise so beloved.
The StarCraft Miniatures Game Two Player Starter Set hits retail in May of 2026.
