Recently released photos from the set of the new Superman movie suggest a surprising link between the hero and one of his enemies.
The new Superman movie, from DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures, came out in US cinemas last July. James Gunn directed the film, which stars David Corenswet as Superman, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. A sequel, currently titled Man of Tomorrow, is planned for release in 2027.
What do we see in the Superman set photos?
James Gunn posted some photos on Threads showing what it was like behind the scenes on the set of the new Superman movie. The pictures were taken on the Moravian Palace set, which is where the character Vasil Ghurkos, played by Zlatko Burić, lives in the film.
The pictures clearly show squirrels, which is interesting because Superman once rescued a squirrel. This suggests both Clark Kent and Vasil Ghurkos share a fondness for these animals.
