LEGO Batman Confirms Appearance at The Game Awards
The game LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight was first shown in August with a detailed trailer. It looks like a fun mix of classic LEGO comedy and the action-packed gameplay of Arkham Knight. Warner Bros. has already shared gameplay clips, but they’re planning to reveal even more at The Game Awards.
As a big fan of The Game Awards, I know it costs a lot to be part of the show. That’s why you usually see games from the biggest studios – they’re the ones who can afford it! But it also means that any game at The Game Awards is usually announcing something huge, like a brand new trailer or finally revealing when you can actually play it. Honestly, I’m guessing that’s exactly what WB Games is planning with LEGO Batman – I bet they’re going to announce the release date!

I’ve seen quite a bit of LEGO Batman gameplay already, so while more footage is cool, it’s not exactly groundbreaking. The initial trailer pretty much laid out the story, so there aren’t a ton of surprises there either. I’m expecting to see some new gameplay, but I think the really big news will be the release date. There’s been talk that Legacy of the Dark Knight is aiming for an April or May 2026 launch, and if that’s right, I’m guessing WB Games will finally announce the date this week!
We’ll find out more about the new LEGO Batman game on Thursday, December 11th, during The Game Awards. It’s currently planned for release in 2026 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. We’re hoping to see even more details soon – this LEGO Batman game looks like it could be the biggest and best one yet!
