Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers are already calling one of the newest additions “Game of the Year,” giving it a perfect score. Last week, five new games launched on Xbox and PC through Game Pass, and this highly anticipated title is exceeding expectations.
The latest game added to Xbox Game Pass has a respectable Metacritic score of 82, though it’s not exceptionally high. Some Game Pass subscribers believe the game, Ninja Gaiden 4 from Team Ninja, PlatinumGames, and Xbox Game Studios, is being overlooked. While developed by Xbox Game Studios, it’s available on multiple platforms, but at launch, it’s only accessible through a Game Pass subscription.
“Game of the Year”
Since it came out, Ninja Gaiden 4 has generated a lot of discussion on the Xbox Game Pass Reddit page. Most of the comments have been overwhelmingly positive, with one popular post even calling it “Game of the Year.” Another user acknowledged the game’s high difficulty but still rated it a perfect “10/10”.
One commenter shared their excitement after revisiting the game on Game Pass, saying it reminded them of how a truly excellent third-person action game should play. They praised it as far superior to other titles like Yotei or Wukong, declaring that Ninja Gaiden remains the best in the genre even after all this time.
While not everyone agrees with the opinions expressed in these posts, there are many similar ones. This doesn’t perfectly match the game’s Metacritic score, but it aligns with what many other users are saying. For instance, 89% of Steam users recommend the game, and it has a nearly perfect score on the PlayStation Store.
