Following a house fire on March 21st that tragically took the lives of an NHL reporter covering the Minnesota Wild, her husband Mike Hinrichs, and their three children – Hudson, Casey, and Avery – investigators have released some details about their ongoing investigation.
The White Bear Lake Fire Department announced on March 23rd that their initial investigation found no signs the fire was deliberately started. They are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
Fire officials stated they are using every available resource to investigate the fire. They also emphasized that their main focus is supporting those impacted by this tragic event.
While the investigation continues, those who knew Jessi are mourning her loss. Kristin Krull, who co-hosted the Bardown Beauties podcast with her, shared on X (formerly Twitter) on March 23rd that she feels it’s “cruel” to imagine life without her friend.
Kristin shared that the best they can do is keep moving forward. She expressed sympathy for everyone struggling to get through the day, saying her heart goes out to them.
The NHL and the Minnesota community are mourning a tragic loss. On March 22nd, the league confirmed that a 37-year-old woman and her children had died in a fire. Sadly, the family’s dog also perished in the blaze, according to the White Bear Lake Fire Department.
