Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban Finalize Divorce, Details Revealed

Come what may, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban will always be there for each other ’til the end of time.

After filing for divorce from her husband of 19 years, the singer of “Somebody Like You,” the actress from Moulin Rouge has now officially ended their marriage, according to documents from TopMob News.

Okay, so I’ve been obsessively following this, and the legal documents are officially filed now – a judge in Tennessee signed off on everything January 6th! Apparently, Nicole and Keith both completely agreed to waive any spousal or child support. Like, they’re both handling their own bills and lawyer fees. It’s just… wow. They really are doing things their own way, and it’s honestly kind of amazing to see. I’ve read the papers like five times now!

All property, including furniture, appliances, cars, bank accounts, investments, and personal belongings, will be divided fairly between both parties, and each person will keep what they are given.

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman, parents to Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, have agreed on a custody arrangement. Nicole will spend the majority of the year – 306 days – with their daughters, while Keith will have them every other weekend, totaling 59 days. This plan is similar to the one Nicole originally proposed when she filed for divorce.

Nicole didn’t attend the scheduled court hearing on January 6th. Instead, she and the other party reached a friendly agreement, so they didn’t need to formally investigate the case or question each other.

According to the documents, both parties have agreed to skip the formal process of gathering information – things like written questions, document requests, and depositions – that would normally be used to find out about each other’s assets and debts.

TopMob News has contacted representatives for both Nicole and Keith, but they haven’t received a response yet.

TopMob News reported on September 29th that Nicole and Keith had been living separately since early summer. Sources revealed that Keith initiated the separation, and Nicole had been attempting to reconcile their marriage.

The Academy Award-winning actress has often openly discussed her romance with the Grammy Award-winning musician, particularly how fast she developed feelings for him after they first met at a Los Angeles event in 2005.

In 2019, Nicole described the experience as very intense, sharing with People magazine that she had come to believe he was the love of her life.

I’ve always been a huge Nicole Kidman fan, and I was so fascinated by what she recently shared. She talked about how, even after her marriage to Tom Cruise – and they have two grown-up children, Isabella and Connor – she still has this incredibly hopeful outlook on love. She said it might be because she’s a romantic at heart, or because she’s an actress who naturally believes in stories, or even because of her strong faith, but she just believed in the possibility of finding someone special. It’s so lovely to hear her talk about that!

As for Keith, 57, the country singer had been equally as effusive about their relationship.

He said on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast in 2020 that she was the person he’d been looking for his entire life, and that he had to change as a person to be with her.

As Keith added, meeting Nicole was “like the ultimate fork in the road moment.”

He explained it felt like this was a now-or-never moment. He emphasized that this was their only chance to succeed.
