Nicole Kidman is planning for the future.
Four months after filing for divorce from Keith Urban following nearly twenty years of marriage, the actress known for her role in Baby Girl has spoken about how she’s approaching the new year.
On January 1st, Nicole Kidman, 58, shared a photo on Instagram of herself overlooking a balcony while embracing her daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 15. She captioned the heartwarming picture with, “Looking forward to 2026.”
And she plans to do it with her loved ones by her side, marking every milestone along the way.
As a mom myself, I always cherish those special moments with my kids! Just before New Year’s, I celebrated my daughter Faith turning 15, and it was so sweet. I shared a peek on Instagram – a little pink cake with ‘Happy 15th Birthday Faith’ written on it. It was a really touching way to mark the occasion, and then just a few days later, we were ringing in the New Year together as a family!
Despite recently separating from her husband after 19 years of marriage, Nicole Kidman appeared cheerful while celebrating Christmas Eve in her hometown of Sydney, Australia, with her two daughters and ex-husband Keith Urban. She embraced the holiday season with a relaxed look, sporting her natural curly hair.
This Thanksgiving, the stars of Big Little Lies celebrated with their daughters by wearing matching turkey shirts and participating in a 5-mile charity run in Nashville.
Nicole Kidman is the main caregiver for her daughters, Sunday and Faith, according to their custody arrangement. She spends 306 days a year with the girls, while their father has them for 59 days. Nicole also shares two older children, Bella and Connor, with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise.

The actress, known for Nine Perfect Strangers, praised her teenage daughters for handling their growing public profiles with confidence.
Nicole recently shared with Ariana Grande in an Interview magazine conversation that raising teenage daughters is a captivating experience. She believes today’s teens have developed a resilience she didn’t have growing up, largely due to their understanding of how to navigate social media. They seem to instinctively know how to deal with its challenges, something previous generations didn’t have to consider.
She continued, “They don’t take a lot of things personally. They shrug it off.”

As a lifestyle expert, I’m hearing some surprising news about Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. Sources tell me they actually separated privately and began living apart at the start of the summer. While many fans didn’t realize it, there were a series of events over those months that ultimately led them to file for divorce. It’s always sad to see a couple separate, and it seems this was a process that unfolded over time.

His High and Alive World Tour began in Alabama, and he spent the summer performing across the U.S., Canada, and Australia.

They were last seen together in public at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in Nashville, and seemed to be enjoying themselves, laughing and smiling.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary in June. Kidman shared a photo of the couple with a sweet message, ‘Happy Anniversary Baby.’ Urban responded with a heart emoji, but didn’t post anything himself.

People were surprised when the country singer suddenly stopped an interview after a question about the connection between Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron in the movie A Family Affair.
A radio host on Australia’s Mix 102.3’s Hayley & Max in the Morning wondered how Keith Urban feels when he sees his wife, Nicole Kidman, filming romantic scenes with younger actors like Zac Efron, given her frequent appearances in popular movies and TV shows.
Suddenly, Urban disappeared from the call.
A radio staff member announced that he was no longer connected on Zoom, and they suspected his team had intentionally ended the call to avoid answering a particular question.
His rep didn’t respond to TopMob’s request for comment at the time.

TopMob News has discovered that actress Nicole Kidman is applying for Portuguese residency, and her husband, Keith Urban, is planning to do the same.
According to a source familiar with the matter, Keith couldn’t attend the appointment in Portugal because he’s currently touring the U.S. Applying for the visa requires a personal appearance, so he’ll submit his application when he returns and his schedule allows.
At the time, the source said both planned to maintain a permanent residence in Nashville as well.

In a recent interview, the couple’s oldest daughter, Sunday Rose, revealed that her parents have just two main rules at home.
She explained to Nylon that she wasn’t allowed to pursue fashion-related jobs until she turned 16. She also shared that her parents always prioritized school, which frustrated her at the time, but she now appreciates those rules because they helped her stay focused and grounded.

Nicole Kidman posted a collection of summer photos on Instagram featuring her daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. Her husband wasn’t included in the pictures.
“Summer memories,” the actress wrote. “Now back to school.”

In August, her attorney drafted a child support document as part of their parenting plan, outlining that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban would share custody of their daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
The Oscar-winning actor was designated as the main parent for the children, meaning the girls live with their mother for the majority of the year – 306 days, compared to 59 days with their father, who has them every other weekend.
Neither will pay child support, according to the doc obtained by TopMob News.
The parents will maintain a loving, stable, and supportive relationship with their child, even after their divorce. They agree to avoid speaking negatively about each other or anyone in the other parent’s family, and they will encourage each child to continue loving both parents and feel comfortable with both families.

Urban finalized their divorce agreement, officially notarizing it in August, according to documents obtained by TopMob News.
According to the document, Kidman plans to divorce him because they have differences they can’t resolve. The agreement also specifies that neither of them will receive financial support from the other after the divorce.
The same date, he also signed off on the Parenting Plan.

One week after Urban, the actress finalized the divorce papers and signed the agreement outlining how they would co-parent.
A judge ordered both celebrities to attend a parenting seminar, unless they request an exception, according to documents obtained by TopMob News.

Even though she had already signed the legal papers, she continued to wear her engagement ring when she attended an event at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles.

The split between the couple, who began dating in 2005, was widely reported by TopMob News after they quietly decided to end their relationship.

The actress known for Big Little Lies has officially filed for divorce, stating that she and her spouse separated on September 30, 2025.
The couple officially filed their divorce and parenting plan with a Tennessee court for approval on the same day.
