Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi Shares Cervical Cancer Diagnosis

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is preparing for a difficult journey ahead.

Just weeks after revealing doctors discovered abnormal cells on her cervix, the former Jersey Shore star announced she has been diagnosed with stage one cervical cancer. A cone biopsy confirmed the cancer was adenocarcinoma.

Snooki shared in a TikTok on February 20th that she hadn’t received the news she wanted, but she was relieved it was caught early, so it wasn’t completely bad news.

She was very grateful for this, and encouraged her followers to prioritize their health with regular checkups and self-care.

I’ve had irregular Pap smear results for the past three or four years. And now, here I am,” she said. “Instead of avoiding getting checked because it was painful and frightening, I finally went. And it turned out there’s cancer, but thankfully it’s still at an early stage – stage one – and treatable. If I follow all the recommended steps, it can be cured or completely gone.

Fortunately for Snooki, her biopsy showed the cancerous cells hadn’t spread to her cervix, which was positive news. However, doctors explained that her type of cancer, adenocarcinoma (which starts in the glands lining organs), can be aggressive and has the potential to spread to other parts of the body and lymph nodes.

The reality star will have a PET scan to check if the cancer has spread, and then she’ll decide what to do next based on the results.

She explained that she was likely going to have a hysterectomy – a surgery to remove the uterus – because her oncologist said those were her options along with chemotherapy or radiation.

She added, “Obviously, I think the smart choice here is the hysterectomy.”

She admitted that 2026 hasn’t gone as planned, but she’s trying to stay positive, acknowledging things could definitely be worse.

Snooki, who shares three children – Lorenzo (13), Giovanna (11), and Angelo (6) – with her husband Jionni LaValle, has been deeply touched by the outpouring of support from her fans ever since she began discussing her health challenges.

“I love you,” she reassured him, “Everything will be alright. I’ll handle this and take care of it.”

I’ll keep being open and honest with you all about what’s happening,” she said. “I love you guys very much. That’s all for now. I need to stay focused on getting better, and I’m confident things will improve.

On January 21st, Snooki revealed on TikTok that she was scared about having a cone biopsy, but she was determined to find out what was happening with her health.

She admitted it was frightening, but stressed the importance of completing the task, explaining that cervical cancer is a serious issue and shouldn’t be taken lightly.
