Nightdive Studios unveiled the remastered version titled “Outlaws + Handful of Missions: Remastered,” developed alongside Lucasfilm Games. This project is slated for release towards the end of 2025 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
The updated remaster now brings the 1997 Outlaws game and its 1998 expansion to a more contemporary level. Nightdive’s KEX engine has been employed for modern enhancements. Players can savor visuals reaching up to 4K resolution at an impressive 120 frames per second. Crossplay is available in the multiplayer mode along with four engaging competitive play modes.
Anticipate improved textures, refreshed artwork, and crisper visuals. This game is compatible with contemporary controllers. Console users can enjoy motion control, vibration feedback, and a quick-access weapon menu. Additionally, trophies and achievements are integrated into the gameplay experience.
Stephen Kick, who oversees Nightdive’s studio, remarked: ‘The Outlaws significantly influenced the First-Person Shooter genre. We can’t wait to introduce this classic Western setting to fresh gamers.’
