Xbox Game Studios, along with developers Team NINJA and PlatinumGames, revealed new downloadable content for *NINJA GAIDEN 4* called “The Two Masters.” Players can expect it to be released in early 2026, and it’s included with the Deluxe Edition and available as an upgrade.
In an official Xbox podcast, Team NINJA director Masakazu Hirayama announced that the downloadable content ‘The Two Masters,’ launching in early 2026, will add new weapons for both Yakumo and Ryu. He explained that Yakumo’s weapon reflects his expressive fighting style, while Ryu’s weapon is designed for precise, powerful, and fast-paced combat. Both weapons will offer unique features and plenty of gameplay options for players to explore, and the team is excited for players to try them out.
Hirayama explained that the ‘The Two Masters’ downloadable content will not only add new weapons but also a new story that continues after the main game. This story will be told from the perspectives of two characters. Players can also look forward to extra challenges beyond the Ninja Trials already in the game, giving them plenty to explore. The team is excited to reveal more details soon.
The latest installment in the *NINJA GAIDEN* series, *NINJA GAIDEN 4*, will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (through Steam and the Microsoft Store) on October 21st. Players with an Xbox Game Pass subscription will also have access to the game.
