The action game Ninja Gaiden 4 isn’t coming out until later this month, but Xbox Game Studios has already revealed details about its first downloadable content.
This is likely because players who purchase the Deluxe Edition or upgrade to it will receive the new content when it’s released in early 2026.
So, what does it entail?

Well, the primary addition appears to be new weapons for dual protagonists Yakumo and Ryu.
Speaking as part of an Official Xbox Podcast, Team Ninja’s Masakazu Hirayama explained:
I’m so hyped about the new weapons! Yakumo’s really feels like *him* – it’s all about expressing yourself and fighting with style. And Ryu’s weapon? From what I’ve seen, it looks super precise and focused on really powerful, fast attacks. They’re promising each weapon will be really unique with tons of cool things to learn, and honestly, I can’t wait to dive in and try them all out!
Players can look forward to a brand new story that continues after the game’s ending, plus a whole set of new combat challenges not available in the original release.
Honestly, there’s a ton to do in the game, and I’m already hooked! The developers have said they’ll be sharing more info as it’s ready, which is awesome. I’m really excited to see what else they add!
Now that the team is focused on launching the game on October 21st, we probably won’t hear any more details about the DLC until after it’s released.
