Nintendo Amiibo Figures Get a Rare Discount, Knocking 50% Off

The costs associated with Nintendo’s amiibo collection can add up significantly over the past 11 years as they’ve introduced numerous characters across various games and series. To make matters tougher for collectors, prices went up in 2025, mainly due to a tariff issue that has increased the overall cost of video game hardware. This price hike has led some dedicated amiibo enthusiasts to exercise caution when making purchases. However, there’s good news: an excellent deal is currently available, slashing the prices of several figures by half!

Currently at GameStop, you can grab the newly released Street Fighter 6 amiibo for an amazing discounted price of only $19.99 (originally $39.99). This sale allows you to get Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly at a reduced cost. Additionally, the amiibo card starter set has also been marked down to the same price. Furthermore, several new amiibos inspired by The Legend of Zelda series have been discounted to $19.99 as well, such as Sidon, Tulin, Yunobo, and Riju. Though they usually retail for $29.99, these have only seen a minor price reduction compared to their original prices.

Are These Amiibo Worth Buying?

If you’re fond of Street Fighter or Zelda games, these discounted prices are tough to resist. The current price of $19.99 is significantly less than the initial launch price, making it more affordable for many gamers who were previously hesitant. While there’s a chance we might see even lower prices in the future, keep in mind that during periods when Animal Crossing amiibo figures weren’t selling well, some retailers reduced their prices to clear out stock. However, these days it’s uncommon to find amiibo priced below $10 to $15.

When it comes to amiibo figures by Nintendo, once they run out of stock, it often takes a significant amount of time for new ones to become available. Over the years, some older models have reappeared, but many others have not. For instance, the two-pack from Metroid: Samus Returns in 2017 has never been reprinted and sells for more than $100 on the secondary market. Similarly, the gold Mega Man amiibo bundled with Mega Man Legacy Collection is still unavailable, with prices ranging from $60 to $80. If you’re keen on getting your hands on Zelda or Street Fighter amiibos, remember that they might be hard to find in the future.
