Nintendo Switch Leak Says 5 New Bundles Are Coming Soon

As a seasoned Nintendo enthusiast who has been through the rise and fall of countless gaming consoles, I must say, these upcoming bundles are a delightful surprise! With my first Nintendo console being a humble Gameboy Advance SP back in 2003, I’ve watched this company evolve and adapt with the times. The Switch has been an incredible journey, and it looks like they’re not ready to let go just yet!

It’s no secret that a successor to Nintendo Switch is currently in development, but that doesn’t mean Nintendo is ready to give up on its current console. It seems the company is planning to release five bundles for the system in Europe this year, including different variations of the system and different pack-in games. The news comes from reliable leaker billbil-kun, who specifically outlined two of these bundles in a report at Dealabs, while noting that he does not have full details for the other three options. The bundles and all known details can be found below:

  • Nintendo Switch Lite Bundle 1- Contents currently unknown. Cost is 219 Euros.
  • Nintendo Switch Lite Bundle 2- Contents currently unknown. Cost is also 219 Euros.
  • Nintendo Switch Sports Bundle- Contains a standard Switch model with Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy-Cons, a digital download for Nintendo Switch Sports, and three months of Nintendo Switch Online. Cost is 299 Euros.
  • Nintendo Switch OLED Bundle 1- Contains a Switch OLED model with white Joy-Cons, a digital download for Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and three months of Nintendo Switch Online. Cost is 349 Euros.
  • Nintendo Switch OLED Bundle 2- Contents Currently unknown. Cost is also 349 Euros.

Currently, we’re unsure if any of these packages will be available in North America, but with the holiday season drawing near, it’s quite likely that we’ll witness something comparable, if not exactly the same. The Nintendo Switch Sports game aligns well with bundling it with the console, considering its purpose to replicate the success of Wii Sports, a key system seller. Similarly, Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is a logical choice given it’s the latest installment in the 2D series and garnered excellent reviews upon its launch last year.

It’s likely that this upcoming holiday season will mark the end of Nintendo’s primary focus on the Switch, so they might strive to maximize console sales during the coming months. This could involve persuading those who delayed purchasing a Switch over the past seven years or encouraging multiple purchases within households. These special bundles could very well achieve that goal!
