Nintendo surprised Switch Online subscribers this week by adding seven games all at once. Typically, Nintendo releases new games gradually to keep people subscribed, but this time they’ve added a larger batch, including classic titles from a previously unrepresented gaming system.
This week, Nintendo Switch Online added games from the Virtual Boy, a system released by Nintendo in 1995 that wasn’t very successful. Though it failed commercially, a few Virtual Boy games became popular and are still enjoyed by fans today. Nintendo is currently offering seven of these games on Switch Online, and they plan to add more throughout 2026.
Here’s the full lineup of new games now available on Nintendo Switch Online:
- Teleroboxer
- Galactic Pinball
- Red Alarm
- Golf
- Virtual Boy Wario Land
- 3D Tetris
- The Mansion of Innsmouth
Nintendo Switch Online Could Close Out February Very Strong

Okay, so the Virtual Boy games on Nintendo Switch Online are already a nice bonus, but it sounds like we might be getting some really big stuff next week! Nintendo said they’re adding Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, but haven’t given us a release date yet. Thing is, it’s Pokemon Day on February 27th, and with the series turning 30, I’m guessing we could see one or both of those games drop then as a celebration. Fingers crossed!
It’s looking more and more likely that Pokemon Colosseum and/or Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness will be added to Switch Online next week. Nintendo has been consistently adding a new GameCube game to the service each month since introducing the GameCube tier, and we haven’t received one in February yet. So, while we’re almost certain another GameCube game is coming soon, it’s still unknown which one it will be.
