Nintendo Switch Online members have been getting some great free gifts recently, including several sets of Pokemon Pokopia icons, physical notebooks, and other items you can get with Platinum Points. Now, to celebrate the March 26th release of Super Mario Bros. Wonder + Meetup at Bellabel Park for the Switch, Nintendo is adding even more free rewards to the Nintendo Switch Online rewards page – but they’re only available for a limited time!
The Nintendo Switch Online service recently added new profile icons! The last of the Pokemon Pokopia icons are now available until April 2nd. Plus, to mark the release of Super Mario Bros. Wonder on Switch, a new set of Mario-themed icons has appeared in the Platinum Points shop. Nintendo plans to release three sets of these Mario icons in total, giving players lots of ways to customize their online profiles.

Hey everyone, if you’re like me and love customizing your Nintendo Switch Online profile, you’re gonna want to check this out! They just dropped the last set of icons from Pokemon Pokopia, which is awesome for showing off how much we love the game. This time around, we’re getting some really fun stuff like Ditto disguised as Graveler and Magnemite, plus different versions of Pokemon like Chef Dente, Smearguru, and even DJ Rotom! These new icons are only available until April 1st, so I’m definitely grabbing them before they’re gone. You should too!
For Mario fans, the new Super Mario Bros. Wonder icons might be perfect for you. This initial collection includes classic characters like Mario and Rosalina, along with a Luma and a Talking Flower. You’ll also find bright, colorful backgrounds inspired by famous Super Mario moments. These icons will be available until April 1st, after which they’ll be replaced with a fresh set from the game.
How to Redeem Platinum Points for Nintendo Switch Online Icons

If you haven’t used Platinum Points to get Nintendo Switch Online icons before, here’s a simple explanation. You earn these points by playing games on your Switch or Switch 2, and also by visiting the MyNintendo website. You can then use your points to claim rewards, like cool profile icon pieces. I’ve found that if you play your Switch regularly, you’ll earn plenty of points to get the icons you want.
You can use your Platinum Points to get cool profile icons for Nintendo Switch Online. Open the Nintendo Switch Online app on your console and go to the ‘Missions & Rewards’ section. You’ll find a list of games offering free icons. Select the game you’re interested in, browse the available icons, and purchase the ones you like. You can collect characters, frames, and backgrounds to customize your NSO profile. Characters usually cost 10 Platinum Points, and frames and backgrounds each cost 5 Platinum Points.
We’re adding new profile icons to the NSO rewards shop! Let us know what you think in the comments and join the discussion on the ComicBook Forum!
