As Tokyo Game Show 2025 approaches, numerous game developers have begun unveiling the games they plan to showcase at the event. The latest company to join in is Koei Tecmo, who has confirmed on their official TGS website that they will be presenting three of their flagship titles at the expo – Nioh 3, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, and Ninja Gaiden 4.
On September 25th through the 28th, you’ll be able to access the titles during both business days (25th and 26th) and public days (27th and 28th). During this event, Koei Tecmo will showcase a variety of merchandise across their games. This includes collectibles like acrylic figures and tapestries from Atelier Yumia, keychains from Dynasty Warriors: Origins, and Nioh 3 T-Shirts.
Several well-known gaming companies are set to attend Tokyo Game Show 2025, including Sony Interactive Entertainment, Capcom, Sega, Kojima Productions, Square Enix, and Koei Tecmo, as confirmed in an announcement from July. The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association, organizer of the event, released a trailer for the event that showcased exclusive artwork created specifically for the occasion.
Artist Zashiki Warashi expressed her genuine delight upon receiving numerous responses to the unveiling of her teaser illustration, “I’m grateful for everyone who contributed to game production and felt compelled to express my appreciation through this artwork,” she said. “Despite the pressure of showcasing at a prestigious event like TGS, I poured my heart into it. I hope visitors can find just a hint of enjoyment in it!
As further information emerges, it’s anticipated that TGS 2025 will host approximately 772 exhibitors, among which around 473 are Japanese companies. This event is expected to boast over 4,000 booths sprawled across a vast exhibition area. The booths will house developers and publishers from both the indie and AAA gaming sectors, representing companies from all around the industry.
It’s been suggested that Microsoft plans to create a significant impact at the Tokyo Game Show in 2025, potentially unveiling a new project. As per the latest news, they might announce Forza Horizon 6 during the event. However, it’s important to remember that such rumors should be treated with caution until an official announcement is made.
The rumor stems from an Instagram post shared by Japanese automaker Kei, hinting that Japan will serve as the location for the in-game Horizon Festival within the Forza Horizon series. This event typically provides players with an expansive open-world map filled with various driving-focused activities.
The Tokyo Game Show 2025, happening later this year, follows shortly after Gamescom that just took place this month. Unlike other events, Tokyo Game Show (TGS) is primarily a gathering spot for professionals from various gaming sectors to share playable demos among themselves and the general public. Occasionally, some announcements do occur at TGS, but it’s more recognized as a platform where further details of previously-announced games are disclosed rather than introducing entirely new game titles.
