Despite all the excitement surrounding “Ninja Gaiden 4”, it’s essential not to overlook “Nioh 3”, another title from Team Ninja in their renowned masocore action RPG series. After a brief limited-time demo, the developers have promised enhancements; for the time being, IGN offers a sneak peek at some exciting new boss fight gameplay. Have a look below to see it.
Takeda Shingen serves as our focus character; he’s a powerhouse fighter with an unexpected arsenal of ranged spells in the game Nioh 3. This game offers players the ability to swiftly transition between Ninja and Samurai Modes. The Ninja Mode emphasizes ninjutsu and long-range attacks, while the Samurai Mode shines for close-combat encounters. The agility boost in Ninja Mode makes it easier to dodge heavy blows, but the Samurai Mode is ideal for dishing out greater damage.
It’s significant to mention that the Dual Blades will make a comeback with three Stances, much like previous games. At the Tokyo Game Show 2025, they are scheduled to appear, which suggests there could be more enhancements and alterations in the coming weeks.
In early 2026, Nioh 3 will be available on PlayStation 5 and personal computers. For comprehensive information about its expansive Field levels, which the developers at Team Ninja prefer not to call an ‘open world’, check it out here.
