As a huge No Man’s Sky fan, I’m so excited about the new addition – something the community has been requesting for years! It’s amazing to me that even after almost a decade, No Man’s Sky is still one of the most popular games on PS5 in 2025. It’s been that way for years now, and I expect it will continue to be. The game is clearly fantastic, but I think a big part of its success is Hello Games’ incredible support after launch. They’ve consistently updated and improved the game, and it really shows!
Hello Games can only include so much in each update for their game, so players often have to be patient when requesting new features. Yesterday, they released Update 6.010, which added a variety of improvements and changes. A key part of this update is the inclusion of new parts for building ships. While not a massive overhaul, this is a feature many players have requested.
Space Wrecks
Hello Games is adding new space wrecks to No Man’s Sky for players to investigate. These wrecks let you spacewalk and collect parts to customize your ships. The developers noticed players already enjoy ship customization, so they’re expanding on that popular feature.
Hello Games is adding abandoned spaceships to the game for players to discover and explore, making spacewalking even more exciting. These wrecks contain valuable parts that can be used to build new and improved ships – a feature many players have asked for. The developers have also enhanced the ship-building tools after seeing how much time players enjoy customizing their creations.
It’s no surprise that No Man’s Sky fans are thrilled with the latest update. The game has consistently improved since its release, exceeding all expectations and becoming a truly exceptional sci-fi experience.
One commenter admitted they’re at a loss for words and just enjoy watching the new trailers with a happy expression. Another player joked that recovering shipwrecks seems like a good way to make money, especially since their current spaceship is already a beat-up salvage vessel.
We’re not sure if this is the last update for this game, as it likely depends on how players respond to the new content. Development hasn’t slowed down so far, so it probably won’t. The team is also working on a new game called Light No Fire, but they’re continuing to support the space exploration game as well.
We’d love to hear your thoughts! Please leave a comment or join the discussion on the ComicBook Forum.
