It’s time for the next set of free games for PlayStation Plus Essential members! This month’s update – the second to last of 2025 – includes three games for both PS5 and PS4. You can claim these games now in the UK and Europe, and they’ll be available in the US later today. Don’t forget you have until December 2nd to add them to your library!

Because the popular game Stray was previously available on PlayStation Plus Extra, many PlayStation 5 and 4 owners have likely already played it. This has led to a somewhat negative response to this month’s game selection.
So, we ran our monthly poll asking what you guys thought of the game lineup, and honestly, the feedback wasn’t great. Over 3,200 of you voted, and a pretty hefty 39% called the selection “crap”. Another 23% said it “could be better,” which isn’t exactly a rave review. It’s a real drop from last October when everyone loved the lineup because of Alan Wake 2 – that one was a winner for sure!
Okay, so here’s the deal: if I grab those three free PS Plus games each month and stay subscribed – even the basic tier is fine – I’ll always be able to play them. That means even when they swap them out for the new December 2025 games on December 2nd, I won’t lose access to the older ones as long as I’m still a member. Pretty cool, right?
