Nvidia sees bright future in agentic AI amid record Q3 revenue

As a seasoned crypto investor with a keen eye for tech trends and a knack for spotting promising opportunities, I find Nvidia’s focus on agentic AI incredibly intriguing. With my background in technology and a portfolio that includes various AI-related investments, I can confidently say that the age of AI is indeed in full swing, as Jensen Huang so aptly put it.

According to Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, the company aims to lead the charge in advanced autonomous AI technology, following a quarter where they achieved unprecedented revenue figures.

“Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia, stated on November 20th that we are in the full swing of the AI era, driving a significant worldwide transition towards Nvidia’s computing technology,” as they disclosed an increase of 17% in their quarterly revenue compared to the previous quarter, and a staggering 94% rise from the same period last year.

Most of the $30.8 billion in revenue, a 112% increase year-on-year, is attributed to the company’s data centers, fueling the advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Huang predicts robust demand for AI computing technologies, estimating Q4 revenue at $37.5 billion.

“AI is transforming every industry, company, and country. Enterprises are adopting agentic AI to revolutionize workflows.”

The increase in the count of AI-native businesses is a notable trend that we’re witnessing. Moreover, the use of autonomous AI by enterprises has become quite popular recently,” Huang pointed out during the Q3 financial discussion.

This financial titan is strategically carving out its role as a pivotal facilitator for “AI agents” and cutting-edge technologies that empower them, often referred to as “agential AI.

The goal is met through several means: offering powerful computing solutions such as Hopper and Blackwell GPUs, crafting AI software frameworks for intricate AI agent creation, and developing tools enabling businesses to construct and implement autonomous AI systems.

An agentic AI is a type of artificial intelligence that demonstrates independent thinking and purposeful actions.

A machine or system is capable of independently comprehending intricate objectives, dividing tasks into manageable subtasks, making decisions and performing actions with limited human guidance, and executing sequential problem-solving processes on its own.

Autonomous AI systems possess the ability to function on their own and adjust to varying situations, selecting actions to accomplish goals within complex or unpredictable settings.

Microsoft, too, aspires to lead in the field of Agentic AI, as they announced in a blog post on November 19th, proposing autonomous AI agents for their Copilot AI assistant and various other products.

According to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, speaking at a conference on November 20th, the company is instructing a fresh batch of AI tools to act as our representatives in both our professional and personal spheres.

Despite posting a strong revenue report, Nvidia’s shares (NVDA) saw a decline of 2.5%, dropping to $142 in extended trading, as per Google Finance.

At the time of this writing, the majority of top AI tokens were seeing a drop instead of an uplift following the Nvidia results, with one exception – Bittensor’s TAO token was the only one that went against the trend.
