The developers have unveiled another significant update for Oblivion Remastered, focusing on resolving some of the game’s most noticeable flaws.
Patch 1.2 is out now in beta form on Steam, but it’ll (hopefully) be coming to PS5 soon enough.
The title here refers to introducing fresh challenge levels. Ever since its launch in April, gamers have voiced their concerns about the game’s existing difficulty settings, arguing that they are either overly simple or excessively laborious.
It seems you can modify the ‘Player Combat Damage’ and ‘Enemy Combat Damage’ settings according to your preferences now. The ‘Journeyman’ level of difficulty serves as a balance point between Adept and Expert settings.
As a gamer, I can’t hide my excitement about this update! The thing that has me hooked is the promise of enhanced performance. From what I gather, they’ve done some serious under-the-hood tweaking to make the game run smoother. And if the rumors are true, those annoying frame rate dips in specific areas? Gone! That alone makes this update a must-have for me.
You can get the full scoop via the patch notes, which we’ve collected below.
