Update #1 [Wednesday, July 16th, 4:30pm]: Bethesda has made it official that Patch 1.2 for Oblivion Remastered will be deployed today on PS5. For details about the changes in this update, check out the original post below.
We’ll update this article once the patch is available to download.
Details have emerged about a significant new upgrade for Oblivion Remastered, focusing on resolving some of the game’s most apparent flaws.
Patch 1.2 is out now in beta form on Steam, but it’ll (hopefully) be coming to PS5 soon enough.
For this update, we’re introducing varying levels of challenge, a change long requested by gamers since the game’s launch in April. Many players found the existing settings either too simple or overly tedious.
It seems you can now customize the Player Combat Damage and Enemy Combat Damage settings according to your preferences. The Journeyman difficulty level acts as a middle ground, catering to both Adepts and Experts.
Many people are excited about this update primarily due to the anticipated enhancements to the game’s less-than-stellar speed. Numerous optimizations have reportedly been implemented, addressing the frequent lag spikes that occurred in specific areas.
You can get the full scoop via the patch notes, which we’ve collected below.
