Oblivion Remastered Patch 1.2 Out Today, Adds New Difficulty Options, Improves Performance, More

Today’s Update: [Wednesday, July 16th, 4:30pm]: Bethesda has verified that Patch 1.2 for Oblivion Remastered is set to release on PS5 at some point today. The detailed changes can be found in the original post beneath.

We’ll update this article once the patch is available to download.

New Version: The creators have unveiled a significant new upgrade for Oblivion Remastered, focusing on resolving several of the game’s most prominent flaws.

Patch 1.2 is out now in beta form on Steam, but it’ll (hopefully) be coming to PS5 soon enough.

Title Update: Introducing Adjustable Difficulty Levels

Since its debut in April, gamers have been expressing their concerns about the existing difficulty settings in this remastered version. Many players argue that the options are either overly simple or excessively laborious.

It seems you can now customize both ‘Player Fighting Damage’ and ‘Enemy Fighting Damage’ to fit your preferences, with the ‘Journeyman’ setting serving as a balance between ‘Adept’ and ‘Expert’.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but get excited about the upcoming updates, especially the focus on enhancing the game’s performance issues that we’ve all noticed. It seems they’ve worked tirelessly to optimize various aspects, and it looks like those pesky frame rate drops in certain areas are finally a thing of the past!

You can get the full scoop via the patch notes, which we’ve collected below.
